Write a short connection sentence before shopping: the machine port connects to a particular hose cuff, using an adapter that fits over or into each side. Then record the relevant inner or outer diameter at those mating surfaces. A product described as a two-inch adapter may use that label for a hose family, a port, or one end of a stepped fitting.
